Take control with TM Robotics

Brand new from TM Robotics is the TS1000 robot controller, which provides enhanced monitoring facilities and complete system control of the robotic cell. The controller is designed for use with the TH-250 and TH-350 SCARA robots, both of which provide the accuracy and repeatability to be used in the electronic industry.

Brand new from TM Robotics is the TS1000 robot controller, which provides enhanced monitoring facilities and complete system control of the robotic cell. The controller is designed for use with the TH-250 and TH-350 SCARA robots, both of which provide the accuracy and repeatability to be used in the electronic industry.

The controller features a built-in PLC to simplify and increase the speed of data transfer. Designated the Tcmini, the PLC can control external I/Os (21 inputs and 17 outputs) hand I/Os (five inputs and four outputs) and panel I/Os (two inputs and two outputs). Data transfer between the robot and PLC is performed through the robot controller interface relay. Additional I/O extension is offered as an option via serial communication. An I/O module (64 inputs and 64 outputs) can be connected using the RS-485 port at up to 400m away, by using just one cable.

Communication options included with the new controller include Profibus, Ethernet, Devicenet and CC-link. Display values, including work counter and the selected program number, are shown on an easy-to-read seven segment LED on the front of the controller.

As an option the robot can be connected to a touch panel HMI in order to make control even more intuitive. Ladder programming is possible via Windows.
